Safety & Community Guidelines

This page explains the rules around mature content, minors, and publishing characters to the Storia community.
1. Mature Content Policy
Mature content is hidden by default and only ever shown after all of the following: (1) you self-attest you are 18+ via Settings, (2) you separately opt in to "show mature content in Community", and (3) the character's creator has flagged it as mature content. Qualifying characters display a clear "R" badge everywhere their image appears. Important: age verification is a self-attestation only, not identity document verification. Providing false information is a violation of the Terms of Service.
2. Underage Policy
Storia's minimum age is 18 for all users — not just those seeking mature content. Creating or presenting romantic or sexual content that targets or references minors is never allowed, with no exceptions. If we learn a user is underage, that account is immediately suspended and removed.
3. Public Publishing Policy
Publishing a character always requires your explicit, opt-in consent. You confirm you own or have the right to share that content. Your public-facing name is one you choose, never your real email or account details. Your private conversations and memories are never published automatically under any circumstance. Characters reported by 3 distinct users are automatically hidden from the Community pending review.
4. Reporting and Moderation
If you find an inappropriate character or piece of content in the Community, use the "Report character" button on that character's card. Our team reviews reports and may remove content or suspend accounts as a result. To appeal a decision, contact us at [contact email].
5. Absolutely Prohibited Content
Sexual content involving minors is never permitted under any circumstances. See the Terms of Service for the full list of prohibited content.
